I have got you covered here. Well, after reading this post, you will be shocked at how inexpensive trip to Goa can be. The best thing about Goa is how to get it all for low cost. Oh, why not make the best of it then? So, here's how you can handle it. 8000₹, all-inclusive, 9 day trip to Goa! That too with all the luxurious things and no compromise in the Fun! Yeah i went to Goa with my 5 friends from 1-10 Feb this is how experience was.
Travel
Cheapest and most convenient means to reach Goa is Train! Considering the Sleeper train ticket from Mumbai is between Rs. 350 to 450 for most of the train this is what I took on my trip. You can also go with the ultra cheap option of general compartment with around 230-260₹. Same goes with the return journey On reaching Goa, hire scooters like Activa will cost around 300₹ per day. For 9 days it will be 2700₹ and 500₹ of petrol is more than enough. Splitting the charges in 2 as you probably won't travel alone it will be 1600₹.
Total Spendings per Person on entire travel 2400 ₹ (400₹ train Mumbai to Goa, 400₹ train Goa to Mumbai, 1600₹ bike rent for 9 days)
Accommodation
I did a lot of research finding the best budget stay with all facilities. Finally I was lucky to find a Guy who provides a stay in Parra Village (5 min from Mapusa city, 10mins from Baga Beach) and guess what he provided me for a mere amount of 650₹ Per night for 4 guys was just amazing. We booked it for 5 Nights. and Then we moved to South Goa Near Benaulim Beach where the cost was 1500₹ per night for 6. We booked this for 3 nights.
Total Spendings on Accommodation per person in North goa is 650₹ divided in 4 = 162.5₹ for 5 nights sums up to 812.5₹ but I'll consider it 850₹ per person. South goa : 1500₹ divided in 6 = 250₹ for 3 night sums up to 750₹ per person. Total cost of accommodation per person 1600₹ for 8 nights.
Total amount spent till now is 3900₹ for travel and accommodation for 9 days.
Food
For breakfast I'll recommend cooking by yourself as the stays provide electric gas stoves and utensils. You can easily get all required ingredients like tea powder, milk, eggs, bread, butter and sauces for around 500₹ for the whole 9 days or else you can go out and have a Tea for 10₹ and the Goan delightful bread known as Poee for 10₹. Have an authentic and tasty homemade Goan Thali which is available for under 120₹ at every restaurant! Great isn't it. For Dinner you can again have a Thali or go to a shack near the beach and have a meal for 200₹. Total cost of food per day is 350-400₹. Total amount for 9 days 3150₹.
Total amount spent till now is 7050₹ for travel, accommodation & food for 9 days.
Booze
Well, considering you will be in Goa, booze is available quite cheap. It'd be better if you buy your booze from a wine shop instead of ordering at a shack. A beer bottle will cost you approximately Rs. 80. If you drink 5 beers through your trip, you will end up spending Rs. 400 for booze. If not, then you can opt for rum, which will cost you Rs. 160 for a quarter.You can have Kaju fenny quarter for around 38-50₹ (Yes! It's not a joke for real). So it will sum up your entire 9 days booze for 550₹ including the soft drinks.
Total amount spent till now is 7600₹.
Must do things
These are the things I loved a lot! I'll personally recommend you to go there at least once! I'll definitely visit this every time I visit goa. There are many places you can find on Google very easily which you will definitely visit. But these are the experiences of lifetime which are not there on Google! Also most of the known forts in Goa charge a Visiting fee. And most beaches have pay & park available but it's very costly, I'll include this in the budget also!
North goa
- Kayaking at Querim beach. (300₹ rent for Kayak per hour)
- Swimming at Arambol sweet water lake (Free)
- Night walk and dinner at Baga beach. (included in food)
South goa
- Scenic views of cabo de rama. (Free)
- Hidden beauty of Cola beach. (Free)
Total amount spent on visiting fees and parking 400₹.
Final amount spent on your trip is 8000₹.
You can be happy now! Everything is included in this 8000₹ but you never know!
at least carry extra 2000₹ you have is the extra money you will spend for sure it's
GOA afterall! You can have a great fun trip to GOA on a budget of approximately 1000-1200₹ per day.
